I can’t get over how precious these two little girls and their mom are! If you follow me on Instagram you most likely have seen the stages from beginning to end of my personal moss flower chair project. I have seen these over the past year and just really adored the idea. I mean how can you go wrong with a vintage chair covered in moss with flower accents? I love the country vintage feel that it creates. The only problem I had in making this chair is that I have 3 boys! These are the ideas it really kills me that I don’t have a baby girl. Lucky for me though, I am a Seattle newborn photographer with friends that have girls!
These girls did not disappoint with cuteness to go perfectly with my idea for this moss chair. I had been eyeing this forested park in Orting to use all winter long. Finally, the pretty green leaves came in and gave us some gorgeous foliage. It is a Seattle newborn photographers dream come true. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect location. It also just so happened to be one of the few days we have this spring that was actually warm enough to dress these little girls up in these two pretty dresses I have and do a fun child photo shoot. Of course we also had to get some photos of mom and the girls together. You can just never have enough photos of yourself and your children.
What do you think of this style and look for this session? I’m absolutely in love with the warm vintage look. It is bright and colorful but subtle enough to be classic and stand the test of time. I’m also dying over the non-traditional photos. It is just not my style to have everything picture perfect. I love the moments of catching the girls dancing, goofing, exploring and just being themselves. It will be harder and harder as the years go on to catch these little moments and their personality on camera. This session has me dying I would be making a scrapbook of every image from the session and a big canvas wall art college to go up on my wall!
