Oh my have I been one busy Seattle maternity photographer! I’ve done about 4 maternity photo sessions in the past two weeks. It has been amazing! I love the experience I am able to offer my maternity clients. What girl doesn’t like to play dress up and feel like a model with some gorgeous maternity gowns and the spot light on them? It is my absolute favorite thing to make my pregnant mommas feel gorgeous and special to celebrate their time adventuring into motherhood.
This couple was so much fun to work with. I got to use two of my favorite dresses and we were in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm. I thought at first that we would cancel the session and reschedule but they really wanted to do it, and our first plan was to stay safe and remain shooting indoors at my studio in Sumner. We only managed a couple photos in the studio when we got a break in the weather!
We took advantage of it and went outside right away. As a Seattle newborn photographer I am used to our temperamental weather here in Washington and how fast it can change. Fortunately for us the weather worked out perfectly for us.
After doing a few series of photos at the Ryan House in Sumner, then we moved on to the Sumner train station. It was so beautiful with the gorgeous stormy clouds in our background and the golden glow of the light. You couldn’t have asked for better lighting as a Seattle newborn photographer. Do you see those magnificent colors? Pair that with a beautiful momma in a special maternity gown and you have magic!
It got even better after this. There
is this bridge right down the street from the studio I have been eyeing since last fall, but no one has taken me up on my vision. These two were up for it and I am so glad. These are some of my favorite photos I’ve done. It just feels so magical and romantic to me. The colors of that bridge with the gorgeous greens in the background are just stunning! I was so excited checking out the images on the back of my camera until I was finally able to upload and get to work editing. This session definitely sets the tone to my visions and aspirations as a Seattle newborn photographer.
