What can I say about this perfect newborn session? This was my first girl I’ve had in studio in the past 6 newborns! It has been the year of the newborn baby boys, so welcoming baby Eden for her newborn session was a nice change with some shades of pink. Baby Eden came into my studio for her newborn session at a whole month old. This family almost did not do newborn photos, but I am so glad that they did. Especially, because they haven’t done photos of themselves at all other than wedding photos. It is a nice start to make a change to capturing moments and memories. I always encourage my newborn families to do family poses, even if they are on the fence about them because you just can’t get this moment back. I mean how sweet will it be for mom and dad to show pictures of how small their baby was with a picture of them holding her in their arms for graduation or on their wedding day?
My oldest boy is only turning 5 this year and every year for his birthday I can’t believe how big he has gotten in comparing his baby photos. I don’t want any family to miss out on this opportunity, so even though baby Eden wasn’t the ideal 7-14 days I would never turn down a family because he or she wasn’t young enough. It is more challenging to get into those perfect snuggly poses, and to have baby sleep through the session, but we got some pretty beautiful eyes wide open shots too! Which, you would not generally get with a younger newborn. I love that each session, each baby and each family I work with is unique and we work to make their session special to them.
I hope you enjoy the gallery of baby Eden, she is gorgeous and so precious. As a Seattle newborn photographer I can only hope to get such wonderful babies and families to work with the rest of this year.
I am also very excited to talk about a newborn workshop I am taking this weekend! To be a safe and professional Seattle newborn photographer it is essential that I stay up to date with newborn posing technique. So watch out for some more updates soon.
